COVID -19 Update

To Our Wonderful, Church & Families,
Nothing is more important to us than the safety of God’s people, our church, and the community that we serve. With the recent news about COVID-19 diagnoses in California and across the country, we the leadership of Carmel Mountain Christian Church are writing to reassure you that our church is following these developments closely.

California Governor Gavin Newsom announced on Wednesday that “Non-essential gatherings must be limited to no more than 250 people.” Out of respect and under the advisement of the state and federal government, CMC is temporarily moving to an online-only service experience beginning this weekend March 15, 2020.  Although this was a very difficult decision, we want to act responsibly during this challenging time.

Please note that although the church service is cancelled how we will “do church” will change for the next (anticipated) three weeks. Please be on the lookout for a video message from me that will allow you to enjoy the sermon online through Facebook Live and YouTube. Prayer, offering, and a salvation invitation will also be given online just like every Sunday service.

Remember, the “church” is not a place or a service, it is the people. We need everyone to step up your faithfulness through prayers for a hurting nation and world. With God’s grace and His peace in our hearts, we by faith can take the lead in our homes and community.

We are incredibly grateful to God for our church and we believe that He has all things under control. We know that “God did not give us a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind”. Therefore, we encourage everyone to avoid panic, speculation, conspiracy theories and negative debates. Trust in God, but get the FACTS!

Finally, we encourage you, our family, to stay safe, wash your hands, and practice self-care protocols. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to support you or your family.

Sincerely,

Pastor Ken Hudson
